the f-22s main engineering flaw - Square exhaust

Anything goes, as long as it is about the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor

I always thought the f-22 was very exceptional aircraft, but then I took a closer look at it. who was the doofus who put square exhausts on it, like what kind of drugs would a engineer have to be on to think of that. over the long run it is almost guaranteed to fail because of concentrated wear and tear. :bang:

Why not educate yourself on the F-22? Hitting your head against a wall doesn't contribute to critical thinking.

It might. I see a Homer Simpson slamming his head against the wall saying, "stupid brain, start working!"

I have, and I know how the vector thrust system works, but I see that its not worth the sacrifice and that it is doomed to drop like the F-16C before they fixed the engines, and it cost to much to be doing that. I am happy it will be replaced by the F35

"..doomed to drop..." please share with us your basis for this prophecy.

the square exhausts do not evenly distribute force and wear and wear and tear, which compromises it.

So, since you're such an informed expert, and the 2d nozzles are such a handicap, please do tell us how low the readiness rate is for the F22 due to nozzle issues........

Um... it's not.

yes it will be. the long term goal of the f-35 is to replace every fighter jet in the arsenal

this is a prediction for future issues because of design flaws, this reminds me of the issues the F-16 block 40 engines had, Luke AFB was dropping a jet a month because of engine disintegration, it was a unforeseen issue, like I am predicting for the F-22, but on a much larger scale.

Sorry, son, you have your F16 blocks and engines confused, and I am pretty sure the problems you are dreaming of for the F22 would have started to show in reduced readiness after a million flight hours.....just saying.

Your lack of understanding is frightening.

The F-35 in US service will only be replacing the F-16, F-18C/D, AV-8B, & A-10. You will not find anywhere in any official plan information pointing to the F-35 replacing the F-22.
