Did the C-130T port 6-bladed (R391) props?

Feel free to discuss anything here - as long as it is C-130 related.

Hi folks,

Looking at the history of MSN 5255, 164762, I was surprised to find this image:
https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8794345
which shows it wearing 6-bladed props. So these aren't NP2000s - are they R391s, as worn by the C-130J?

I haven't been able to find anything further about this and just wondered if the C-130T was initially tested with 6-bladed props of some sort before the NP2000s were chosen.

Can anyone shed any light on this, please?

Thanks!

I don't think that is a C-130T. Here is a picture of 762 from 2020:

The first aircraft has a FLIR Turret mount, and EW not found on 164762. I wish this person had posted a full picture of the aircraft. If you look at the full list this is the only one like that:

Found it! It is a USMC C-130J Harvest Hawk:

Hi there,

Many thanks for your reply. That clears it up. The image is of KC-130J 166762, not C-130T 164762.

I have contacted both Jetphotos and the photographer to ask for the image details to be corrected.
