Hello,

I have Lars Olausson Lockheed Hercules production list books, 3rd edition to 22nd edition [18 & 20 missing].
These books require a new home, only cost involved would be postage or collect from me (Bristol, UK).

Hello,
I’d be interested in those books if not already taken.

Thanks,
Asif

I've got the 30th Edition, Mar 2012 that is 1954-2014, through LMCO # 5800. Wish there current editions available but also recognize it's a monumental task that requires a lot of connections and insight in order to keep up with it all, LMCO approaching #6000 in 2024.

I also have the 30th edition. Was there one after that as I think that they were discontinued after that as I believe he retired?

I think Lars son had picked up and put out the 30 edition that included J model production up to LMCO # 5800. It contained quite a few errors with regarding to USAF tail numbers but a lot of that was because of confusion with HC and MC-130Js and then many of the MC-130Js later converted to AC-130J at Crestview. But all things considered, his son did an outstanding job picking up where Lars left off. All that data is very hard get and capture plus you need to have very good resources to periodically update the book for new editions, especially considering the number of commercial and foreign customers.

You are correct I had many of his past books dating back to the 1980 s. They were excellent. I guess that in today's age younger guys rely on the internet rather than printed material.

While this is true about the new generation and the internet...I don't know that you can get the information in Lars' book on the internet. I'm sure can get some information, maybe not all of it but it would take some serious time and combing through articles etc; much easier to just pick up the book and go through it.

Not familiar with the books, does it cover modifications? or just the frame at delivery?

Just production delivery of acft, model serial #, LMCO #, nation of delivery etc. Does not show transfers after delivery or modifications done after delivery. Bob Daley (retired and since passed) had a good spread sheet that contained a lot of information but sadly when he passed, no one picked it up and ran with it.

Attached is the last list I got from Bob for what it's worth, still a wealth of knowledge just not current.
